Sarah Kirby wins the County Medal at Gourock

Congratulations go to Sarah Kirby who had the best scratch score of the day in the April Renfrewshire County Medal played over Gourock today and was the only player to break 80. Despite having a 9 at the 8th, she was out in 39 and then came back in 40 for a gross 79. Playing off a handicap of 10 meant she had a net 69 winning the Scratch - 12 handicap award.
Under the 19.8 stableford adjustment rule the 9 is converted to an 8 and with the CSS being 75 for the day, Sarah was 7 under for handicap purposes and is therefore cut by 1.4 ----- Well done Sarah.
Liz Williamson was the winner of the Handicap 13 and above division with a net 71.
