Carol Fell is the Ranfurly Castle Ladies Champion

Carol and Evy
The final of the Ladies Championship took place yesterday between Carol Fell and Evy MacGregor. In rather blustery conditions a very close match took place. Carol sank a huge putt on the 3rd to go one up and there after on the outward nine it was nip and tuck with the match being all square at the turn.
Carol then went to 2 up with pars at the 10th,11th and 12th.The 13th was halved in 5 and then Evy's par at the 14th got her back to 1 down. Carol then par'd the 15th and 16th to win 3 and 2.
Thanks go to Mary Craig for refereeing the match and to Anne Judge and Marion Munro who were the caddies.
Thanks also go to the all the supporters who came out to watch including "young" Janet Gillies
Many congratulations go to Gregor Munro who won the Men's Championship and Ronnie Judge who won the Senior Championship
