POOH PUTTER -- A DRAW

The Pooh Putter was held in excellent golfing weather and seemed to be enjoyed by all the Ladies who took part.
Apart from the minor or not so minor irritation of balls lost in the long rough the course was looking and playing well.
Thank you not only to the thirty- two ladies who played but also to those who put their names on the list as reserves and didn't manage to get a game.

The result was an honourable draw with prizes for everyone.

CHILDREN'S DAY

Children's Day turned out to be warm and sunny. On Friday we had just 22 children on the list but by Monday afternoon the numbers had swollen to 35.

Those were all in the younger categories ages 10 -14 and below, however everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and grannies and grandpas worked especially hard!

We have some promising young golfers and hopefully Ranfurly Castle stars of the future.

I would like to thank Kerr and his green staff, Ishbell and Arthur but most of all the ladies from the committee who volunteered their services.

ANNE NICOLL QUALIFIES TO GO TO THE GRAND FINALS AT KING JAMES VI

FROM THE SLGA WEBSITE
The Regional Medal Finals West Division was held at Cathkin Braes on Friday, August 2. Windy but dry conditions made it difficult to score for a number of the field but it didn't stop Emily Dunsmore (Bishopbriggs) who had the score of the day with a nett 72.
The top three in each division will go onto qualify for the Grand Final which will be held at King James VI on Sunday 8th September.
Many congratulations go to Ranfurly Castle's Anne Nicoll who was runner up in the Bronze Section
