WEST RENFREWSHIRE LEAGUE

I am sad to report that the West Renfrewshire League team of Jan, Mary C, Vivien, Lilias, Helen A and Gillian lost the final match of the season last night 4:2 away at Gourock. It was a pleasant, sunny evening but the relatively slow greens and some astonishing putting from several of our opponents proved our undoing. The 2017 league positions will now be determined by a count-back of games but we are missing too many pieces of that jigsaw to predict the outcome.

GREENLEES MATCH V LARGS AWAY

Today we played our Greenlees match away at Largs.  The course was in lovely condition and the weather was very kind to us.  I think we all managed to get in before the rain started.  Unfortunately I have to report we lost 3 1/2 - 5 1/2.

FRIENDLY MATCH AT GOUROCK

Played Thursday 06 July.  Ranfurly Castle won 2 and 1; well done ladies and thanks to Gillian for organising.

JULY MEDAL

20 ladies played on 5th July it was very pleasant for golf, my only critisism would be the greens had been and were being tined and in so doing the bunkers had not been raked,  I understand the course needs to be maintained.  Pamela
