Scottish Golf Awards and LGU Dinner

Carol Fell was invited by the SLGA on Friday 18th February to the Scottish Golf Awards where she met a few golfing and rugby stars!!

She also represented Ranfurly Castle at the LGU AGM in Glasgow on Saturday 26th February.

MAIL ON SUNDAY TEAM LOSE AT KILMACOLM

Having received a bye in their first round. Our team then played at Kilmacolm on Thursday, 24th of February.
Unfortunately, our team losing, 1.5 to 3.5.
The team being Marion Munro, Anne Judge, Rosemary Reedie, Evy MacGregor and Jean Irvine.
A big thank you to the ladies for representing our club in this annual competition.

AN EVENING WITH JILL JACKSON


The acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist, Jill Jackson will be performing at Ranfurly Castle Golf Club on Saturday, 5th of March at 8.30pm.
Her material includes rock, folk and alternative country music.
Having just completed a very successful tour with Runrig, the Red Hot Chillie Pipers and Las Vegas .



The cost of the evening will be £10.00.

Bridge Evening 2nd February 2011


64 players attended the bridge evening and all of them seemed to have a good time. The format was the same as the previous years with 16 tables divided between the 2 lounges.
Lady Captain, Karin MacKenzie, presented the prizes.

The prize winners were as follows:

Small slam was won by Fiona and Robin Scott
First prize with 2490 points was won by Maxine
Second prize with 2230 points was won by Morven McLeod
Third prize with 2200 points was won by Dorothy MacGregor
The lucky chairs were won by Pamela MacKenzie and Norma Gourlay

Thanks to Marion Reid and Margaret Parrott for scoring.

Thanks also to Karin, Sheila, Jan and Agnes for their help organising the supper and all the committee members for supplying the delicious food. Also thanks to Nicola, Tom and their team behind the bar for all their hard work.

Thanks to the Bridge of Weir Ladies Bridge Club and other players for the use of their tables and finally a very big thank you to everyone who supported this evening which, as always, was greatly appreciated.
