Greenlees Team win their Final Match against Douglas Park

Greenlees matches tee off
The Greenlees Team had a terrific 8 - 1 win against Douglas Park today in their final match.
The game started in lovely sunshine and then the downpour started. The 18th green became flooded -- but luckily only the 9th match (last game) had to go to the last hole and by then the sunshine had reappeared - the water on the 18th had subsided and Lois Brown had a halved match and we were able to complete the match. All team players were unbeaten -- A great result.
The team has now finished with 38.5 points and are probably safe to stay in the 1st division
Many thanks to all who have played throughout the season.

Anne Judge (Greenlees Captain)

Bottles and Blooms Requested-Good Cause!

Ladies our Annual Open Day takes place next Monday 8th August (where has the year gone!).
We had great support for the charity raffle prizes last year and do hope for the same generous support this year ( bottles of wine and nice flower pots). The raffle money raised will be donated to the Accord Hospice.
So please............do not delay, there is a box in the locker room...all donations are very much appreciated.
This is a great day, the Open Day ladies committee work hard for both the club (entry fees go to the club) and one of our special local hospice's.
A very important/special combination.
