Due to 2 non regulation sized holes this morning on the 6th and 12th the competition was non counting. These winter "greens" with large holes were due to unexpected course maintenance. The Greens Convenor has been contacted and sends his apologies and will try to ensure that the Greenstaff are aware of our next 3 competitions ensuring that this problem does not arise again.

Well Done Sam from all the Ladies
The Ladies Section congratulate Ranfurly Castle’s Sam Binning who beat Scott Young of Turnhouse and Ewan Scott (St Andrews)after a dramatic play-off yesterday (Thursday) that earned him a place in the sun … an all-expenses-paid trip to Brazil next month to be precise.
The five players to top their categories in the Nick Faldo Series Scottish Final over 36 holes of the Renaissance Club course at Archerfield Links today gained automatic places in the Grand Final, to be held at Itanhanga Golf Club, Rio de Janeiro.
Sam forced a play-off with Adam Dunton (McDonald Ellon), the overnight leader in the boys’ Under-21 section with a second round of 74 for 153. Dunton had scores of 76 and 77 and Binning completed his joy with a winning birdie 2 at the short hole chosen to start the sudden-death shoot-out for a seat on the plane to Brazil.

Pooh Putter-Vice-Captain's Team Win!
The Vice-Captain's Team earned their bar of chocolate today (kindly donated by the Lady Captain) with a very sociable win against the Lady Captain's team.
Our thanks to EVERYONE for taking part and hopefully you all had a few laughs on the way round!. We certainly did!
Finally my apologies to Margaret P/Marilyn and Anne Nicoll/Linda MacDougall for the confusion re your starting tee. Yes, I did not update the web and had you initially at the 13th, then concerns re parking took over and I moved you to the 1st but I did not update the web!. OOPS!
Hand duely slapped!, but excellent to know the website is being checked.
