About ten Ranfurly Castle ladies attended a Social Evening last night at Kilmacolm Golf Club. The guest for the evening was Lesley Mackay from Playsport Golf in East Kilbride (The Renfrewshire County Coach).
A very successful evening was had by all. Captain Agnes Williamson gave the vote of thanks before we were treated to a delicious buffet supper

Central Database of Handicaps (CDH) --- UPDATE
The Scottish Golf Union, Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association and Golf Union of Wales (GUW) have committed to producing a Central Database of Handicaps (CDH) for golf clubs and their members in Scotland and Wales.
Aimed at providing a wide and vitally important range of benefits to golf club members, clubs and their administrators and the governing bodies, the CDH project will be delivered by the Unions as a service to affiliated clubs.
As presented at the SGU Club Seminars at the end of 2009, the development of the Scottish/Welsh CDH is now reaching its final phases. To read more --- Click on the following link

New Method of Entering Scores Trial, Plus
In an attempt to reduce the number of times competitors names are deleted in error when "entering a competition", we would like to trial the computer in the locker room ONLY being used for ENTRY to the competition. Scores should be entered via the computer in the Smoke Room, close to John King's office. It is a very straightfoward touch-screen system and do have your club card handy as you need to "swipe it " (as you do on entering the clubhouse) prior to entering your score. Please return your signed card to the metal box in the ladies locker Room as usual.
Could I also draw your attention to the Newsletter Section of the website (password is our Pro's first name). It features recent information on the Course from the Greens Convenor and also an up todate list of the Social Evenings planned for the Club over the next few months.

Mail on Sunday Team have Winning Start!
Our Ladies were victorious today winning away from home against Greenock 3 / 2. This match was supposed to be a home tie but due to the stubborn Bridge of Weir snow it had to be changed to Greenock.
The team was made up of Evy MacGregor, Marion Munro, Anne Judge and "new girls" Agnes and Sheila Biggart.
A big thank you to all the ladies for giving up a big part of their "Mothers Day" to represent the club in this Annual Competition.
