There have been a few instances recently of ladies competing on a Wednesday/Saturday and their scores not appearing on the Results List for the competition. After some investigation, the most likely explanation for this is that, on the day, they have created a GENERAL PLAY scorecard on their phones rather than a COMPETITION scorecard.
This is easily done and hard to spot until it is too late, so here is advice to avoid this problem.
Step 1) Book a tee time for the day of the competition (use "Tee Booking" on your App)
Step 2) Enter the competition (use "Events" on your App)
Step 3) On the day, create your Competition Score Card. To start this process START FROM "DASHBOARD", then look under "BOOKINGS". The competition should appear in your bookings - click the competition and the option to Create a Scorecard will be there.
Once you have created the scorecard via Dashboard/Bookings, THEN go to "Scorecards" tab at the bottom of the App to find the scorecard you have just created and Start Round etc.
(Note: If you do not start in Dashboard/Bookings but instead start the process in "Scorecards", you will create a General Play scorecard for the day)
Step 4) Enter your score. Use your phone to score where possible rather than the club iPad. This can be done when you come in after using a paper scorecard, it can be - but does not have to be - done on the way round the course.
I am delighted to report that the West Renfrewshire League team managed an away win at Ralston last night. This is a first in recent memory at Ralston who have a very good team.
Well done to Jan, Louise, Agnes, Helen, Joy and Senga who enjoyed friendly games and a sunny evening, although it was very windy and tricky. The final result was 3.5/2.5 to Ranfurly Castle.

Hopefully the good weather will stay with us 🤞
Those of you who attended the ladies AGM back in January will remember that I announced there was going to be a Lady Captain's Charity bunker this year ! I was very pleased when Captain Alistair said he would like to join forces !
Nominated charity is Quarriers.
At last we are up and running. To make your donation, please put cash in the charity bucket located in the Ranfurly Bar or use the QR code beside the bucket to make a donation online.
Any back payments, gratefully received 😉
Hopefully we can raise some funds . Quarriers will also benefit from funds raised in the Charity Tri-Am later in the year.
