CHRISTMAS 9 HOLE TRIAM STABLEFORD - WEDNESDAY 3RD DECEMBER TEE TIMES

 This year our Christmas golf game will be a triam stableford.  In your team of 3, please record the best score at each hole, allowing for handicaps.  Please note that only 1 stroke will be permitted at any winter greens.  We will be playing holes 1-3 then 13-18, meaning we will all finish at the 18th.

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us on the day however, if we cannot play, we will hold a quiz in the clubhouse starting from 10.45 am.  

For the ladies who are joining us for lunch, we are hoping the lunch will commence at 12.30pm.  

The lunch with be a bowl of soup & a toasted half sandwich of brie & cranberry followed by a mince pie and hot drink.  Cost of £9 to be paid to Leanna.  

Please remember there will be prize for the best christmas outfit as well as for the winning golfers.

El Rompido -New 2026 date -New opportunity

 As the numbers for the May  2026 trip did not meet the minimum requirements  it has been decided to try a shorter trip in October -  Thursday  8 October to be exact  for 5 nights.

The price of a single room is approximately £1500pp including flights ,  baggage carriage , transfers , half board and 3 rounds of golf.   Sharing a twin is approximately £1300 pp.

October is still a busy period. (prices were checked with a few golf tour companies )

We currently have 5 members keen to be involved.

Christmas 9 hole with Lunch Wednesday 3 December 2025-see blog dated 27/11 for update to format

Ladies, our annual Festive golf with lunch will take place on Wednesday 3rd December 2025.

Golf will be a 9 hole stableford with the draw being made in advance and posted on the blog.

There is a Notice for entry now on our Notice Board in the Locker Room with an option for those who would like to come along and have lunch only.

 Lunch will be served around 12.45pm (please check this blog nearer the time for any changes).

The cost of lunch is £9 which includes leek and potato soup/brie and cranberry sandwich (lightly toasted), mince pie and tea/coffee.  This can be paid from today at the bar.

Festive jumpers are encouraged but not mandatory-ho -ho -ho 

Finally, please contact any of the committee if you  would like your name added to the locker Room Notice.

 Final chance to join the above golfing holiday.  Closing date is Monday 10 November, there are just a few spaces remaining. 

 If they are not filled then the trip most likely will not happen.
