The Greenlees tail end of team wags
Ranfurly Castle played Prestwick St Nicholas at home in their Greenlees match today. Our top 3 in today's team were all beaten (but not badly) by Prestwick's top 3 who are all Ayrshire County Team Players. However, our tail end of the team all did well and Ranfurly Castle won 5 - 4.
Well done to Helen Craig who played in her first Greenlees Match and managed to win her tie which allowed Ranfurly Castle to win the match

Alternatives for the siting of a New Clubhouse
As is in the Newsletter Section posted on the main website --- the proposal is to consider possible alternatives for the siting of a New Clubhouse and the possible alternatives to course layout should the existing Clubhouse, 1st and 18th be redeveloped for housing. The objective was not to arrive at a fixed proposal but to demonstrate that potential exists to create a course of the same or better standard than our existing course. We also are aware of some failures in the location of the existing Clubhouse and some of the failings within the course and its layout. The final proposals will require to be made in conjunction with the selected developer and a professional Golf Course architect.
To achieve this we have identified three areas of ground owned by the club outside the existing course boundaries. The areas identified are the existing Clevans Course plus two areas currently tenanted north of the 6th and 7th holes and andarea west of 8th Green and behind 9th tee as shown on Figure 1 below. We appreciate that the tenancy agreement requires to be resolved and have presented some solutions which do not require occupation of this ground.

Carol loses in the Douglas Park Championship Final
Carol Fell played in the Championship Final at Douglas Park yesterday. Unfortunately her "short game" was extremely poor in the windy conditions and although 4 down with 4 to play managed to take the game to the 18th green by sinking some ridiculous long putts --- a bit late in the day. The winner - Lynda Smith is pictured above with Carol at the prizegiving (Click to enlarge)
