IONA FINISHES WELL IN THE HELEN HOLM TROPHY

Iona Stephen played exceedingly well in the prestigious Helen Holm Trophy at Troon this weekend. In her very first attempt at playing in it she made the top 25.
Although a scratch competition, Iona who now plays of 4 was only 8 over par for the 3 rounds which included the final round over Royal Troon. The conditions were exceedingly difficult with rain and wind.

Just to inform everyone, the greenkeeper has declared the course borderline and  not suitable for competition play today. 
I will donate the money raised from the Charity Yellow Ball Competiton in May to MacMillan Cancer.

Coronation Foursomes

The Coronation Foursomes were played on Friday 19th April 2013 in sunny conditions.
14 couples entered.

IONA IS THE LEADING QUALIFIER IN THE RENFREWSHIRE COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP

Many Congratulations go to Iona Stephen who was the leading qualifier in the Renfrewshire County Championship.
Denise Cowan has also qualified for the matchplay stages which begin tomorrow.

The Mail on Sunday Team - Denise Cowan, Anne Judge, Sarah Eckford, Mary Craig and Mareen Cook unfortunately lost 4-1 to Greenock on Friday 5th April.  Thanks to everyone who took part in this year's campaign.

Back to Basics

Feel you need a pre-season checkup?  Then this blog is for you!  Tom has agreed to hold a 'Back to Basics' group lesson on Tuesday 23rd April, from 10.30am - 12pm at the practise ground.  If interested please add your name to the list in the locker room.  (The cost is £30 divided by the number of participants.)

Date changes for April Medal and 9 Hole Comp.

Due to the weather and playing condition on the course, the April Medal has been postponed for a week and will now be played on Wednesday 10th April.
The 9 Hole Competition due to be played on that date, will now be played on Friday 26th April.
Fingers crossed the weather will improve soon and we can get the golfing season started!
