It was a great final -- Par golf by both Denise and Lesley and was enjoyed by all who came along to support 

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

Finals day is Sunday 28th August.  The Ladies are teeing off at 1pm and it would be lovely to see as many people as possible out to support Denise and Lesley on the day.  Hopefully it will be dry and I look forward to seeing you there.

THE DREAM TEAM!

The Greenlees team do it again - a wonderful WIN.  The girls secured a 5-4 victory away against Troon.  The results stand at 5 wins, 1 loss and 2 to play.   Very many congratulations to all and good luck in the final 2 matches.
At present Milngavie have 44 points (1 match to play)  Troon 37.5 (finished) Ranfurly Castle 37.5 (2 matches to play). Unfortunately the match against Milngavie got abandoned last Friday and the match is rearranged for September 22nd.

A reminder that the August Medal will now be played on Wed 24th.  Hopefully as many of you as possible will be able to play - the forecast is for SUN!

HALDEN CUP

The big annual match between the Gents and Lady Captains teams took place on Sunday 21st. August.  It was a good contest, keenly fought but, sadly, I have to report that the Ladies were well beaten.  Both teams enjoyed a very tasty lunch and a fair bit of joviality with some interesting joke telling!

LADIES INVITATION DAY

What an amazing day we had today for the Invitation Day. Hot and sunny with very little wind and the course in wonderful condition.  All participants had fun on the course and enjoyed the chat over lunch after the game. 
The winning team with net 65.3 were:-

 Runners-up with net 68.3 were:-

GREENLEES TEAM

Sadly, the Greenlees team suffered their 1st defeat away to Loudon Gowf today.  The close score line of 5 matches to 4 shows that it was a hard fought game.  Well done to Alison Macnab for a very decisive win in her first appearance for the team.

AUGUST MEDAL

On the advice of James I have, sadly, taken the decision to cancel the Medal today.  Course is VERY wet and with more rain forecast by 10am he felt it would not be a good idea.  I will look at the diary and reschedule as soon as possible.  Keep your eye on the blog for an update and I will also post it in the Locker room.
Thank you to all you have donated to Alice's leaving gift.  The box will be removed at the weekend so if you would like to donate and are unable to get to the club, just let me know and I will put it in for you. Thanks,  Joy.
