LADIES INVITATION DAY RESULTS

What a fabulous day of weather for our first invitation day since the pandemic.
Possibly too hot and sunny - I think quite a few of us were quite weary by the end of our rounds!

Our invited guests all enjoyed playing our course and a tasty lunch afterwards.

18 pairs played a Betterball Stableford format and some fabulous scores were returned.

1st Prize: Helen Abram & Nicky Stirrup 44pts(bih)

2nd Prize: Julie Will & Angela Ferguson 44pts (bih)

3rd Prize: Joy McLeod & Shirley Morran 44pts

There were two spot prizes:

• Longest Drive at 18th won By Eunice Muir
• Most bunkers visited won by Alison Thompson of Old Ranfurly (6 bunkers)

Entry: In Twos (One Member + One Visitor)

Format: Better-ball Stableford with the tee reserved from 9 -11am and 5.30 - 6pm

Refreshments: one course is included with players paying for their own drinks and extras

Closing date:  31^st July

Fee:  £20 per team of two (cash or cheques to be left in box in locker room (please write Invitation Day and your name on front of envelope) Cheques payable to:  RCGC Ladies Section

2022 LADIES INVITATION DAY - SAVE THE DATE! - 12th AUGUST

I am pleased to tell you that we will be holding our Ladies Invitation Day on Friday 12th August.

Each lady member may invite one guest. The format will be 2-ball Betterball to be followed by lunch.

Entry nearer the time will be via SG app or by signing a sheet which will be posted in the locker room.

LADIES INVITATION DAY 2019

The Ladies Invitation Day was played, at the second time of asking, on Friday 23rd August.

Unfortunately some of the ladies who planned to bring a guest and play on the original date were unable to make it, but those who came along all enjoyed the greensomes format and a dry, if windy, day.

The winners were Sheila Biggart and her guest Nicky Stirrup from Kilmacolm with 36 points.

Runners-up were Anne Judge and Margaret Gray from Old Ranfurly with 35 points.

Many thanks to Vicky Rennie and Nancy MacGadie for all their hard work arranging (and rearranging) the day, to Maureen Cook and Joy McLeod for donating some of the prizes and to Jean Irvine for ensuring the clubhouse looked beautiful with various flower arrangements throughout.

REARRANGED LADIES INVITATION DAY

After the terrible weather last Friday led to the postponement of this event, the new date for the Ladies Invitation Greensomes is Friday 23rd August.

A revised entry sheet will be put up in the Locker Room. Most players have been contacted and retain their original start times. Unfortunately the changed date means some ladies are now not able to play and their entry money will be refunded in due course.

There are spaces available if you were not able to play on Friday 9th but would like to get a partner and play on 23rd. Please just add your name to the sheet or contact Jan Macnab or Nancy MacGadie.

LADIES INVITATION DAY August 10th 2018

Another successful Invitation Day took place on Friday 10th August with 36 ladies having a very enjoyable day on a lovely course and then followed by an excellent lunch.  The weather managed to behave it’s self with only a few spits and spots. Many thanks to Mary Craig for organising the event.

The format was Greensomes  Stableford and the winners were:-

Vicky Rennie and Jan Allan from Ralston GC with 37 points

Runners up

Agnes Williamson and Carole Spy from East Ren GC with 36 points.

LADIES INVITATION DAY

What an amazing day we had today for the Invitation Day. Hot and sunny with very little wind and the course in wonderful condition.  All participants had fun on the course and enjoyed the chat over lunch after the game. 
The winning team with net 65.3 were:-
 Vicky Rennie, Karen Church, Maureen Cook and Anita MacMillan.
 Runners-up with net 68.3 were:-
Nancy MacGadie, Carolyn Anderson, Doreen McConnell and Sandra Bell
Longest Drive for Silver was won by Carol Smith - Haggs Castle
