LADIES OPEN TRI-AM

69 ladies played this year in our Ladies Open Tri-Am. The course was in fabulous condition so thanks to Craig and his green staff. We were lucky with the weather with only a couple of showers and the sun came out latterly. Very many thanks to the starters Pamela MacKenzie, Nancy McGadie and Karen Binning. On the check-in desk, Vivien Howe, Gillian Donaghy, Alison Templeton, Anne Robinson, Alison Robertson and Jean Irvine who also checked cards when they came in. Thanks to the hole sponsors , Lilias, Gillian, Vivien, Maureen and Marion. Thanks to Leanna, Courtney and Tina upstairs and Stuart our Pro.

LADIES OPEN - HELP WANTED!

The Ladies Open Tri-Am is taking place on Thursday 13 July 2023.

Marion is looking for a few volunteers to man the check-in desk and/or carry out Starter duties.

LADIES OPEN DAY

 The Ladies Open Tri-Am on Thursday 13th July is now available to enter.  To do this, go to the club website, select MENU then click on VISITORS.  On the drop down menu select OPEN Competitions and there you will find your entry form.  This can be emailed to the Pro Shop or handed in.  Stuart can take your payment over the phone or over the counter.

Ladies Open Day

 On 14th July Marion and her team held the Ladies Open Day Tri-Am.  96 ladies played, coming from near and far, and enjoyed good weather for their golf.

Winners were Lilias Lamont, Fiona Daly and Georgie Pollock, from Old Ranfurly, with a score of 61 points (BIH),  2nd were Margaret Gray, Linda Anderson and Lana Wilson, also from Old Ranfurly, with a score of 61 points.  Congratulations to all the prize winners.  The raffle was well supported and £510 was raised for Alzheimer Scotland.  Marion would like to express her thanks to all who donated to the raffle as well as to all who helped to make the day so successful.

We had 28 teams enjoying the beautiful weather for the Ladies Open this year. The winners were:

LADIES OPEN DAY

Thanks to Marion Munro, Alison Robertson, Anne Judge and Jean Irvine for organising another successful Ladies Open Day on Thursday 18th July 2019.

There was a good entry, decent weather for most competitors (a bit windy!), and the fantastic sum of £413 was raised by the raffle for MENCAP.

The prizewinners were:
1st (78 points) - Evy MacGregor (Ranfurly Castle), Carol Fell (Douglas Park), Gilly MacRae (Troon Ladies)



2nd (74 points bih) - Alison Templeton (Ranfurly Castle), Libby Pow (Ralston), Lilias Lamont (Old Ranfurly)



3rd (74 points) - Jean Sloan, Gillian McGinlay, Rona Lockie (all Troon Ladies)

THE LADIES OPEN DAY

Thursday 19th July saw 75 ladies play in 25 teams of 3 for the Tri-am format of the Open day.  Conditions were perfect for good scoring which resulted in the winning team returning with 90 stabelford points - 2 scores at each hole and 3 at the last.  The team consisted of Eda Davey, Joan Walker and Linda Morgan from Balfron GC.  In second place with 86 points were Adrienne MacLagan, Mandy Allan and Christine Houston from Milngavie GC., while in third place were Isobel Rhind and Anne Sharp from Bothwell Castle and our own Chris Minto with 85 points.

Longest drive for Silver won by Deborah Barton, Largs.

Longest drive for Bronze won by Joy McLeod

Nearest the line at the 16th won by Stella Bowie, Kilmacolm


Various other prizes were awarded but as the recipients were not present there are no photos!

LADIES OPEN DAY TRI-AM 2017

On Thursday the 20th July we had our Ladies Open Day Tri-Am. Starting at 9.00am in the morning
we had 108 ladies playing in 36 groups of three.  The conditions were dry over head but quite windy with very fast greens. 

The novelty prize winners were:-
5th nearest the pin Silver - Margaret Gray - Old Ranfurly
7th nearest the pin Bronze - Maimie Robin - Elderslie
14th nearest the pin Silver and Bronze - Carol McNally - Williamwood
16th nearest the white line - Elma Leisk - Stirling

Main prize winners were:-
3rd place with 74pts BIH - Muriel Young, Valerie McKinnon and Fay Storey  of Old Ranfurly
2nd place with 75pts - Jackie Gray, Sheena Wallace of Gleddoch and Elaine Thom of Port Bannatyne
1st place with 78pts - Pamela Buttar, Elspeth Smith and Lynn Forsyth of Paisley

LADIES OPEN DAY SUCCESS

A wonderful day was had by all at the Ladies Open Day.  A huge 'Thank You' goes to Marion and her team of Jean Irvine, Alison Robertson, Anne Judge and Sally Smyth for all their hard work and organisation which made the day run like clockwork.  The course was in beautiful condition, despite the heavy rain the day before, and visitors commented on the wonderful views we are lucky enough to enjoy.

LADIES OPEN DAY - EVY AND DAUGHTER LISA ARE THE WINNERS

98 ladies braved the weather on Thursday 23rd July to play in our Ladies Open Day.   

Despite very wind conditions and many horrible rain showers Evy MacGregor  and her daughter Lisa McKendry from Dullatur won with an amazing 36 pts, runners up were Jan Macnab and her daughter Alison from Kilmacolm with 32 pts, 3rd were Anne Tweedie and Linda McDonald from Kilmarnock Barassie , 4th were Sarah Eckford and County Captain Gillian McGinlay from Cochrane Castle and 5th were  Lesley McLatchie and Josie McLean from West Kilbride.
The prizes were presented by our Lady Captain, Vicky Rennie, and included lots of sponsored hole prizes.
We raised £400 from our raffle for Playlist for Life, a charity started by Sally Magnusson which gives dementia patients access to music.
Marion Munro from the organising committee proposed the vote of thanks.   Marion and the committee also wish to thank all members and friends for their very generous hole sponsorship and donations of raffle prizes.

SUCCESSFUL OPEN DAY RAISES £450 FOR ST VINCENTS HOSPICE

We had a very successful day, 48 couples played in lovely sunshine, many of them giving compliments about the course.
Winners with 40 pts were Diane Baldwin and Michelle Anderson from Hilton Park. 2nd Helen Abram RCGC and Liz Crighton from Kilmacolm, 3rd May Hughes Lanark and Janice Paterson Drumpellier and 4th Julie Will Troon Ladies and Pat Pennel RCGC.
