RANFURLY CASTLE TRIUMPH AT 4 CASTLES!
Our team played in the 4 Castles competition at Bothwell Castle this year on a hot sunny 10th July.
We won by 9 points! Superb result! Well done to all our players.
Thanks to Karin MacKenzie, Joy McLeod, Kate Scott and Julie Will who played in the ladies matches.
We are the 4 Castles most successful club, clocking up 8 wins (2 of those away). We are undefeated at home. What a record!

FRIENDLY V KILMACOLM 23rd MAY
Unfortunately this fixture was abandoned as we were not able to raise a team.
Kilmacolm are still keen to play so we will look at a date in September tba.
Please please make your self available for this fixture in September if you possibly can. These matches are great fun and help us develop good relations with our neighbouring courses.
Thanks
Morag

SUNDAY FRIENDLY MATCHES
The two Sunday Friendly Matches (targeted mainly at higher handicappers and weekend players) which were arranged for early this season have had to be rescheduled due to the current travel restrictions and uncertainty over clubhouse openings.
The away match at Gourock will now be on Sunday 4th July 2021 and the home game against Elderslie will be rearranged in the autumn if circumstances allow.
Note that the original dates, although now cancelled, still appear on the Club's website as strangely there seems to be some problem with updating this.

CLUB AND COUNTY MATCHES RESUME
The Daily Mail Foursomes, which should have been played throughout 2020, has recently started to run from now until the end of 2021 with this year's qualifiers.
Anne Judge and Sheila Biggart played at home this week against two ladies from Kilbirnie and had a convincing 7&5 win! Well done girls and good luck in the next round.
The Final of the 2019/20 Renfrewshire Ladies County Foursomes (postponed from March) will now go ahead at Erskine on Sunday 25th October. Allison Murray and Lesley Robertson are to play Williamwood's Carol McNally and Alyson McGinnigle. Good luck retaining the trophy for Ranfurly Castle girls (last year's winners were Anne Judge and Marion Munro).

WEST RENFREWSHIRE LEAGUE V CALDWELL
The match was a very competitive one with Caldwell, who have seen some new ladies join from Beith Golf Club and renewed vigorous determination from their captain and players, since we last had an easy home victory over them two years ago! I am pleased to report that the team managed to win 3.5/2.5 but it was a nail-biting finish with Mary H coming in with the crucial half in the final game in.
This result will ensure the team remains in Division 1 for next year, even though the final position is not yet know with other clubs still having matches to play.
Thanks to Vivien Howe for arranging (and rearranging!) the matches this year and to all the ladies who have played - Jan, Vivien, Agnes, Lilias, Louise, Helen A, Mary H, Joy, Gillian and Morag.

FRIENDLY MATCH V GOUROCK
Our team was made up of Louise Cooper, Lilias Snodgrass, Eleanor Cannon, Morag Cunningham, Marissa Barr and Senga Nixon - some of whom were playing in a match for the first time.
I am delighted to report that Ranfurly Castle won the match 5-1 and everyone enjoyed the experience and the soup and sandwiches afterwards.
We look forward to a return game at Gourock next year, when Gourock will enjoy the home advantage.
