LADIES GOLF OUTING

A date for your Diary - missing from Fixture Diary! 
Ladies Golf outing will be on Wednesday 20th September and the venue is Cardross Golf Club.
I hope as many as possible will be able to come along.  More information will follow nearer the time and I will put a list up in the locker room for you to sign up your interest.

Today was the first Greenlees match of the season at home against Louden. The games took place in beautiful sunny conditions with tricky fast greens. The final score was 6 matches to 3 for Ranfurly Castle.

FUN YELLOW BALL STABLEFORD

The Fun Yellow Ball Stableford took place today.  Ten teams of three played in glorious sunny but tricky windy conditions, especially on the back nine, but amazingly all ten yellow balls were returned.  Well done to all.
The team in second place was:-
Vivien Howe, Eleanor Cannon, and Vicky Rennie with 81pts.
The winning team was:-
Marion Munro, Rosemary Ogilvie and June Giles with 83pts.
Thanks to everyone who played and especially to Jan and Sheila for organising the teams in my absence.

ASSISTANT PRO DAVID STEIN IS HAVING A GOLF DAY

As you may be aware, I have reduced my hours in the Professional’s Shop and decided to focus on following my boyhood dream of playing golf full time. Now that I am a fully qualified PGA Professional my aim is to play a full schedule on the Tartan Tour as well as EuroPro events with the goal of gaining full exemptions for 2018.
Firstly, I would like to thank all members of Ranfurly Castle Golf Club for making me feel so very welcome from my first day here (over 4 years ago!!!) and for the continued support throughout my training and now with well wishes going in to my first year of playing full time golf.
 Also, the support from the board of directors whom have kindly allowed me the courtesy of the golf course to hold my golf day. This golf day will help me to raise funds for my year ahead as well as allow me to give you all more of an insight in to what my year will involve and thank you for your support over the years.
The details of my golf day are as follows;
• Date – Friday 12th May
• Times – 5pm meet for a 5.30pm shotgun start
• Format – Scramble
• £100 per tee (preferably team of 4 but teams of 3 are also accepted)
• ‘Beat The Pro’ on the 5 th hole with Tom Eckford (no shanks hopefully!!!)
• On course prizes of longest drive and nearest the pin
• Refreshments
• Buffet in the clubhouse on completion of play
• Auction (including fourballs and sport prizes)
• Raffle

Individual sponsorship packages will also be available on the night.

RENFREWSHIRE COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP - POLLOK GOLF CLUB

Denise v Eilidh - Semi Finals of the RLCGA Championships

Many congrats go to Denise Cowan who reached the semi finals of the Renfrewshire County Championship against  Eilidh Briggs. She was narrowly beaten 2&1  by the eventual title holder.

Also well done to Anne Judge as well who qualified for the match play stages but lost in the first round. She also was runner up in the handicap section on the qualifying day and was runner up for the handicap Peggy Clark Trophy.

LADIES FASHION SHOW SUCCESS

125 ladies from surrounding golf clubs attended the Ranfurly Castle Fashion show.
Professional Tom Eckford whose website Lookinggoodforgolf.co.uk was showcasing the event. The lady members modelled the outfits with much hilarity and an excellent evening was had by all.
