FRIENDLY V GOUROCK (HOME)

 Our ladies played a friendly match against Gourock at home on Sunday 14th May.

 The weather turned out better than expected. Our ladies won all their matches - well done !

 Lunch was then enjoyed in the clubhouse.

LADIES OPEN DAY

 The Ladies Open Tri-Am on Thursday 13th July is now available to enter.  To do this, go to the club website, select MENU then click on VISITORS.  On the drop down menu select OPEN Competitions and there you will find your entry form.  This can be emailed to the Pro Shop or handed in.  Stuart can take your payment over the phone or over the counter.

CORONATION FOURSOMES 2023

Played Wednesday 10 May 2023, 12 couples entered.

Winners: Sheila Biggart & Jan Macnab (13) 36 pts

Runners-up: Kate Scott & Mary-Jane Bird (33) 33 pts (bih)

The winners will hopefully get through to represent Ranfurly Castle at an Area Final in August.

A draw will take place for both of these Charity Stablefords.

Entry Sheets are now on the noticeboard in the locker room.

Entry is £5 and payment should be placed in an envelope with your name and competition name and  placed in the box on the day of the competion or before if you wish. Hopefully we will have a great turn out to support these great charities.

CORONATION CUP

This trophy was played for the first time in many years, on Monday 8 May 2023, in celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III.

SATURDAY COMPETITIONS

 Ladies, I have reserved three tee times this Saturday, and will continue to do so on future Saturdays, between 12.00 and 12.20. This will allow you to play your competition rounds without being held up by 4 balls on the course ! Please remember that if you play outwith theses times - no more than 3 in a group for medal play.

 Our ladies West Renfrewshire League team started the season with a home win against Gourock GC on Tuesday evening.

 I have prepared the list of names of those who have qualified to play in the Medal Finals on Wed 17th May.  This is now on the Notice Board in the locker room.  Anyone who won a medal last year, Silver and Bronze, is eligible to play.  You do not need to do anything prior to entering for the Medal as normal on that date.

MAY MEDALS

The May medals can be played from either the Red or Green tees (course configuration on the system has now been completed).

A reminder to those wishing to qualify for the Ladies Club Championship that qualifying scores MUST be played form the Red Tees.

Bronze Championship qualifying scores CAN be played from the Green Tees (Players with a Handicap Index of 20.5 and above are eligible to play in this championship).

DORIE HUNTER STROKEPLAY

The Dorie Hunter trophy on Wednesday 26 April will be the first handicap-counting competition of the season.

Everyone will have to play from the Green Tees as, when last checked, the Red Course has not yet been correctly configured on the system by Scottish Golf.

CORONATION CUP - MONDAY 8TH MAY

 Ladies, this trophy will be played for on the Bank Holiday Monday 8th May to commemorate the coronation of King Charles lll.

The competition will be open to both gents and ladies. You can play with anyone at anytime of the day!

There will be a gents winner and a ladies winner and both names will be engraved on the trophy .

The ladies competition will be set up and you can enter and book your tee time, 7 days in advance in the usual way.

The Coronation Foursomes takes place on Wed 10th May and the entry sheet is now on the notice board.  Please sign up with a partner and a draw will be done nearer the time, with further information being given then.  The cost is £4.00 per couple and should be paid before play by putting in an envelope in the tin box.
