19 ladies played in the Walker Quaich on 25th July 2018.

GREENLEES V TROON 23rd JULY 2018

Today we played at Troon Portland in our sixth match of the season and we were very pleased to come away with a respectable half match.  Thankfully we were all in before the heavens opened.

THE LADIES OPEN DAY

Thursday 19th July saw 75 ladies play in 25 teams of 3 for the Tri-am format of the Open day.  Conditions were perfect for good scoring which resulted in the winning team returning with 90 stabelford points - 2 scores at each hole and 3 at the last.  The team consisted of Eda Davey, Joan Walker and Linda Morgan from Balfron GC.  In second place with 86 points were Adrienne MacLagan, Mandy Allan and Christine Houston from Milngavie GC., while in third place were Isobel Rhind and Anne Sharp from Bothwell Castle and our own Chris Minto with 85 points.

Longest drive for Silver won by Deborah Barton, Largs.

Longest drive for Bronze won by Joy McLeod

Nearest the pin in 2 at the 4th won by Fiona Daly, Old Ranfurly

Nearest the pin at the 5th won by Margaret Gray, Old Ranfurly

Nearest the line at the 16th won by Stella Bowie, Kilmacolm

Various other prizes were awarded but as the recipients were not present there are no photos!
Well done and a huge thank you to Marion Munro and her team of Jean Irvine, Alison Robertson,  Sally Smyth and Anne Judge for the smooth running of the event, the carpark attendants and Stewart Catering.

HOSPICE CUP 2018

The Hospice Cup was played on Sunday 15th July at the second attempt. Unfortunately only two brave people played in the competition as the weather was very wet.  Donations were given.
Winners were:-

Runner up  Eunice Muir with 26 points.

CURTIS CUP PIN FLAG

We now have a signed 2018 Curtis Cup pin flag hanging up in our Ladies locker room. Many thanks to Eleanor Cannon who brought it back from Quaker Ridge in America and kindly donated it to the ladies section.

CORONATION FOURSOMES FINALS 18th JULY 2018

  Jan Macnab and Sheila Biggart represented Ranfurly Castle in the finals of the Coronation Foursomes at Ratho Park today.  Both thoroughly enjoyed their day.

GREENLEES v WEST KILBRIDE 16th JULY 2018

The Greenlees match that took place on Monday 16th July at West Kilbride was played in very pleasant conditions. Ranfurly Castle had a 5 games to 4 win. A good result for an away match.

20 ladies played in a tri-am format in lovely dry and very pleasant conditions.  They were joined by 5 more ladies for a splendid two course lunch.
The winning teams were:-
