WEST RENFREWSHIRE LEAGUE 2018

The West Renfrewshire League team played their first match in the new team shirts last night, Thursday 31 May.
We played away at Ralston on a glorious evening where we enjoyed the course, lovely true greens and, especially, a delicious ice-cream cake dessert after the match tea. It is always tough to give strokes to opponents on their own course and unfortunately we were beaten 4 games to 2. However, with two home games to come that is not a disaster.
Thanks to all the girls who played and negotiated the Paisley traffic chaos to get there.

SPRING MEETING FOR CAPTAINS PRIZES

Played Wednesday 30th May 2018.  My thanks to the 36 ladies who played in glorious sunshine and very dry conditions.  I hope you all enjoyed your day.  I had a lovely day too, chatting to everyone and hearing all the good and bad shots that had taken place on the course.  The winners were as follows:-

GREENLEES V CATHKIN BRAES 21st May 2018

The second game of the season took place today at Cathkin Braes in lovely conditions but unfortunately we were up against a very tough team of low handicappers.  Last year it was 8 - 1 win for us and this year tables were turned with an 8 -1 win for them.  C’est la vie!

The Greenlees Team started their 2018 campaign today at home against Milngavie. It was a beautiful golfing day where a shirt-sleeve order enabled the new kit to be shown off to best advantage. We received many admiring comments from the opposition and -as Sarah's website says- "Look good, play well!"

I am pleased to report that we won 5 1/2 to 3 1/2, against a team who are always tough opponents.
